Should I set up my UA goals as conversions in GA4 when I plan to migrate?

Asked 2 months ago

I plan on migrating from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4. I have several goals that I set up through UA for my Shopify store, and I'm worried that these goals won't translate.

Migration of goals from UA to GA4 is easy and obligatory. The GA4 offers a unique conversions tab for UA goals:

  1. Head on to the Accounts tab.
  2. Open the Property Tab and select Setup Assistant.
  3. Click on conversions and select your UA goals and import them from there.

The conversions will be recreated, so you won't have to worry about the translation.
