How many KPIs should you have for product performance?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi guys, I want to measure my product performance, but when I looked online, I found about 20 of them - that seems a bit excessive, don't you think? So how many should I actually have, and which would be the best to use?

Product performance KPIs assist product managers in identifying the products loopholes, setting product-specific goals, and keeping the sales on track.
There is no fixed number for how many KPIs you should have to evaluate your product performance. Nevertheless, analyzing these 3 broad categories of KPIs will help you get an in-depth understanding of your product performance:
- Product Usage KPIs: These metrics help you identify each product's customer perception and usage. They assist you in drafting a roadmap for decisions related to user experience.
- Product Development KPIs: KPIs for product development can help you identify improvements to processes, speed, and velocity.
- Product Quality KPIs: This category considers the potential pitfalls in delivering a terrific customer experience. It would be best to understand the importance of quality KPIs in this era of social media since every quality misstep can easily be advertised and tarnish your brand image.
