Helping Busy People With Your Shopify Store
Published January 25, 2022.
Our modern world puts all of us under so much stress every day. When launching a Shopify store, one of the most valuable ways you can help people out is to save them time and energy each day. Alex FitzGerald and Cooper FitzGerald of Brave keep this idea in mind when running their Shopify store, which launched in 2019. Keep reading to learn more about what they have to offer and how they are helping people to get in control of their day with a superfood breakfast bowl.
What Does Brave Offer?
Brave sells a superfood breakfast bowl for busy people. Their product is similar to overnight oats but contains extra protein, healthy fats, and fiber. They use a combination of organic oats, chia seeds, and hemp hearts to form the superfood base, which offers busy people the fuel they need to tackle anything that comes their way. Their product comes in four different flavors, so you can enjoy plenty of variety each week. As the product is vegan-friendly and gluten-free, it is available to a wide cross-section of the population and has been incredibly popular since the first day of its launch.
The company was inspired by Alex and Cooper’s childhood upbringing in Maine. Their father ran a fish farm called Ducktrap River. They both always looked up to their father and the community he created around offering high-quality food. Brave was inspired by this community, and it’s the driving force between everything they do with their Shopify store. While the store is based around the products they sell, they hope to foster a sense of community and connect like-minded people through their products.
Starting With a Kickstarter Campaign
Brave started life with a Kickstarter campaign, which was their first point of validation. Within just two weeks, they surpassed their goal and raised a total of $30,528. From there, the company has gone from strength to strength, and the reviews they receive from customers keep pushing them forward. It’s really important when launching a new product category that you can describe your offering with text and visuals. These need to be easy to understand and compelling, and there are millions of different ways to showcase your new products.
Focus on the Customer Lifetime Value
If Alex and Cooper could head back in time, they state that they wish they had focused on the lifetime value of their customers earlier. While new customers are extremely important for any business, you also need to evaluate how those customers’ LTV matures over time. This is the key to long-term success in any industry, but it’s something that many business owners neglect until it’s too late. They’ve recently noticed that Facebook and other paid social platforms are less effective which has made acquiring new customers more expensive. The IOS14 update has made this more of a challenge, and you need to be able to quickly adapt to these changes to stay afloat and keep finding new sources of customers.
Review Your Decision-Making Process
When we asked the team at Brave for their top tips for launching a new business, they shared that when things don’t work, you need to focus on the decision-making process. Decisions are bound not to work, but the process you use is where you may be slipping up. On top of that, they recommend trying to find great 3rd party vendors to help grow your business. If you are a small business owner, these can be a great help and will help grow your business without having to employ full-time staff to begin with. You’ll find that you can learn so much from other vendors as well, which you can apply to your business in the future.
We all lead busy lives in this day and age, but the team at Brave is here to set you up each day for what lies ahead.
